I have ever only seen this model as an Empress, not a Cordaway. I'm assuming since it has the later logo, was this after the Empress? Could this be a Canadian model maybe? Inquiring mind needs to know...

You know, I saw this listing and was wondering how this came to be as well. The only differences I can see between this and the Empress are: single speed instead of the Empress' two speeds, classic Lagoon Blue instead of white and grey, no tool-case and no extra-wide bare floor brush.

The model of this blue one is 1099, whereas the Empress I think was a higher series like 1100 if I remember correctly. My hunch is this: Eureka Williams created this as a less expensive version after the more deluxe Empress debuted. They could use up old stock of blue hoses and attachments with this model as well. Very unique. And in very good condition for a buyer willing to work on the repair of the Cordaway cord reel. He'll also need to find a blue dusting brush and upholstery nozzle to complete the set.

Love that classic Eureka Williams Lagoon Blue!
