By the way, Ebay/Craigslist has front conversion attachment sets for Hoover Convertibles/Decades/Guardsmans. A Hoover Convertible/Decade/Guardsman with the front conversion attachment set is cheaper than a Hoover Convertible/Decade/Guardsman with a separate straight suction canister! :)

Durango

Durango, the pews are padded. (Thank God) I vacuum once a week... Every Thursday.

I had a little hoover elite, but it got so darn dusty. Then I use a Royal Anniversary edition (Red). It honestly, is getting so annoying to use.

I took my good, newer everlast/anniversary edition up there, and it's nice, but it doesn't adjust too good.

I'm thinking of getting the bagged hoover, that looks like a decade 800 (which I used to own a commercial one).

If I ever get a Dirt Devil Stick vac again, Type K bag, I'll be set with the baseboards, and under the pews. We used one years, and years ago. (Like 12 years)

Thank y'all

If you have questions with anything on VCDiscounter.com then shoot them an email and see if its really in stock. I have made a few purchases from them over the years and have never had a problem. They are always revising their website and adding and removing machines and changing prices. Occasionally I do find machines on their that I believe are discontinued but they have a very large warehouse and I think they try to scour from other sources and sell others leftovers as well.

Like I said I've purchased a few machines from them myself to include my parents Hoover Steamvac Widepath F6030-900 and the Hoover Windtunnel Plus S3639 that used to be my profile picture. They're shipping is fast and reliable. I purposely posted from sources that I trust.

In addition to trusting VCDiscounter.com I also www.discountcleaningproducts.com and www.abcvacuumwarehouse.com as sources that I buy from most often when I need something.

Or U can go for a rebuilt Lux or TriStar; you'll have more flexibility getting under furniture & more powerful suction for all vacing needs.

Vacuum cleaner to buy

I feel you should be aware of your requirements before you decide on the type of vacuum to buy. Size of your house, type of flooring, number of members, if there are pets etc. Uprights are better suited for carpets and canisters are better on tiles or hardwood flooring. If you have pets, find a vacuum that has good suction power. always look for a vacuum that has good filtration system to avoid health and allergy problems.

Matt,
The suction with attachments on a guardsman is like a convertible, thus it has fairly weak suction that is only good for dusting and maybe light surface cleaning.
