Hi, Obtained a Hoover Junior model 400 and i'm wondering firstly how old it is and secondly how rare it is? The belt is starting to perish but I have powered it up briefly and it does work!

Doesn't appear to be anything about this particular model online.

It's kind of sad that im a 16 year old interested in anything old! And restore Vintage Radios & TVs for my hobby.. And that I picked up this hoover (From a skip I might add) because it's interesting and was worth saving

I only came here for some info on it (mainly a date) and made an error in the title mistaking it for a newer model made by Hoover!
Yet I have no info and I've just got two very snotty replies instead.

Admin please remove my account! I know where I won't be coming again!
Many thanks.

And I hope you two are saddened, You may have sparked an interest in this as a hobby but you missed your chance.... People don't live forever and I hope you regret treating the younger generation who have a keen general interest in older technology like you have treated me.

Please dont delete your thread.

Vacbear is a very good friend and knowing him personally I know he wouldnt of meant it the way you took it.

In actual fact his kind nature would certainly have meant it as a 'heads up' kinda thing.

Im also pretty sure the other poster also meant his post that way too with a bit of humour.

English words may be written here but english wasnt understood, something text dosnt always do.

Well, Jamie,

IF you knew ME at all, you'd know I was "kidding", as I only collect HOOVERs, real genuine HOOVERs. I know Europeans refer to the vacuum as The HOOVER, even if it's NOT made by the HOOVER company. I'll 'apologize' if you feel I need to. But, I really didn't mean anything "snippy". The other post was not snippy, either, clearly stating that the machine in the pic was a Hotpoint, again, not a HOOVER. I hope you don't 'leave us', but, if you do, it won't be because of me. That is entirely your choice. We can all be a bit sensitive at times My best to you.
John
