Hello everyone. I picked this Electrolux up recently and can't really tell what model number it is. Any help with that or a date is appreciated. I haven't touched is and it has been in basement storage for decades I imagine.

Thanks in advance.

Mark

Mark,

That is a model XII. First one built on American soil...unless is says "Made in Sweden" on that brass name plate - in which case it was made in, eh....Sweden. I'm guessing here, but I think it was made from 1930-1937. It was the predecessor to the XXX. It's a cute, quite machine.

I also have one of those and yes they are really quiet, and quite powerfull too. if I am not mistaken this one will pull about 50-55 inches of waterlift with a good clean bag with a good rubber seal on it.

Oooo! I have seen one of these at a vacuum shop here. I think they are so cool looking with the leather like wrap.

Well, 'speak of the devil,' here's a Canadian XII on eBay! The immediate tip-off, before I even looked at the listing, was seeing the red Z88 hose in the preview image. Also note the Canadian-style machine-end plug on the cord.

Hey Mark - nice find. Did you get the parts with it as well?

Hey Charlie - Good catch. Did you notice that the one on ebay also has the optional elbow (shown on the dusting brush) with it? It was an option in Canada but came with them in England.

@doug, I really did not notice the elbow. I mean, obviously I saw it but it didn't "register" if you know what I mean. I have a Model V from Sweden, 110 volts, that has the same adapter, only smaller to fit the narrower wand, hose & attachment dimensions.
