I am selling more stuff on eBay to raise funds to go home to Virginia for my mother's memorial service in September.


 


I wasn't actually planning to go -- with scheduling, work, logistics and financial issues it just didn't seem that it was going to be possible. However, a trip home has just fallen into place as if guided by unseen hands. I know that sounds corny but it's really true. One obstacle after another has melted away and I now have travel plans in hand thanks to some unforeseen kindness.


 


But even with plane fare being covered, there will still be many expenses involved, including lost income for my graphics job on Thursday and my church job on Sunday. (I don't have vacation pay at either job.)




I'll be listing more stuff in the next week including some very old but excellent-condition Hoover cloth bags to help defray those expenses.

In the old days (when I lived in San Diego) I could have helped, and picked up the cost of getting you there, but now I'm on a fixed income. I have my eyes on a few things like the Green Goddess. I'll see what I can do to help out.
