Thanks to Jill also!
P.S., my Eureka Express is a model 8295 top of the range with electronic power control on the handle. It's missing the cord rewind pink button, the power on one also. In addition, needs one rear wheel. Our kids lost the crevice tool, dusting brush when they borrowed it to refinish their floors. The upholstery tool needs a new brush thingy insert.
It runs for about 10 minutes, then shuts down until it cools off.
I remember when I bought it at service merchandise in 1989. I couldn't decide between it, or a Whirlpool canister they were also selling then, or a Lux they had. It had a wooden brush roll, so I passed on it.
The also carried the Hoover Dimension 1000. I think I paid $329.00 for it.
Must have been the colors. I had just finished redecorating my living room. Taupe 25 ounce plush carpeting, a Thomasville sectional in off white with woven stripes of teal, aubergine, and mauve. It looked good in there.
