I arrived in North Canton, Ohio early this afternoon. I was just here before the convention, but it was all so rushed. First on the list was a trip to Ed Shenkle's (Morrison's Vacuum Shop". I picked up a few Hoover items, (NOS lenses for "Convertible", NOS vinyl outer bag, NOS attachments, etc. Of course, we went around our famed beloved building. Tomorrow, it's on to The HOOVER Historical Center, (I understand Ann Haines has a job for me to do tomorrow) YAY! THen, on to Mr. Dick Pike's for a visit and, I believe, some special HOOVER goodies. The MADNESS HAS BEGUN!!!!!

Sorry I keep asking you but

Where is my orange Hoover hood? I've been waiting for it for almost a year. I would really like to have it to replace my bad one. I hope I don't sound rude or impatient. I love you're collection and the sign too. Please get back to me.

john

how much are the lenses for the model in the picture made into lamp the head light lens? let me know i cant find them anywere around here. i might have you pick one up for me if you dont mind.enjoy your trip.

Of course then,

we HAD to clean the place before we went home. Two men arrived, (one from St Louis) came for a tour.
they had a great time as well. Tom cleaned the first floor, while I did the second floor. My choice of vacuum was, naturally a HOOVER Commercial Upright. "All the dirt, all the grit, HOOVER got it, every bit".

Okay thank you

I didn't mean to interrupt you're thread. I just thought I'd ask you here because I haven't seen you on vacuumland much lately. I hope I didn't sound rude. I hope you have fun. :)

This evening, Tom and I went to visit the Pikes.

We talked and talked and talked about everything. Dick truly lives and breathes HOOVER. He is always terribly kind. He gifted me some wonderful things. He found an old postcard. I asked him to sign it for me. He said he wanted to write something on it first. God knows what that'll be! I also managed to purchase a few things. YAY! They are in the car already. i MAY (next time), replace 2 cleaners at home with vault cleaners. THen, I'll sell the 2 at home.
Tomorrow, we're off again. Oh. we met Jane at the restaurant. Tom and I both had HOOVER T-shirts on. People were whispering… (not the first time for THAT).
It really is wonderful to have access to all of theses great machines. You know, years ago, when a family was able to purchase a HOOVER (upright OR canister) they were thought to be quite affluent. They'd say, "Oh, I got a HOOVER". THEN, you really were "there" if you had a vacuum for each floor . As the slogan goes. "HOOVER.For Homes With People Who Care". Kinda like Hallmark. "When you care to send the very best. NOT bashing. (do I bash?). Everyone knows HOOVER was 'quality".I'd think, if you were really affluent, you bought "DELUXE TOOLS".

No Fair!

I had made plans to visit the HOOVER Historical Center right before the convention, but with the car breaking down in Medina, OH, that didn't happen. It was a wonder we made it to the hotel on the right day!

Beautiful is right! The next time I'm in Ohio, I will definitely visit the Holy Land.

I've just been listening to Coast to Coast AM, and apparently Ohio is having some really bad issues with water. They say that Lake Erie is contaminated with algae and it's making people sick. Cases of bottled water are selling for $25.00 a case!
