Oh yes back then before cleanings staff complained if it was to heavy, when stuff was built to last and work. I have a similar sized and aged machine ( non hoover ) that I use for outside work, like vacuuming the patio and paved areas and cleaning the car
I remember giving a 912 to one of my staff to use one day when S#@o ( swear word to you ) was in for repairs. Oh its to heavy and hard to push and that was on modern low pile carpet.. I said Imagine usuing on on plush carpet like that found in Hotels in the old days
