Today I was vacuuming and accidentally sucked up one of my sister's barbie doll pants. I was using my Dirtdevil Featherlite. I got the pants out by twisting the fan with a really long screwdriver. (Could not find a way into the fan housing) Now when I turn on the vacuum, it makes a abnormal sound which clearly tells something is wrong with the fan. I'd like to know how it fix this vacuum before i have to throw it out. Thanks!

I doubt that what you did was the cause of the problem. I'm wondering if something got caught behind the fan. If this is the case, it might have the problems that you describe, and you might not see anything in the fan. If this is the case, you need to dig in to the machine some more to get to it.
