Good morning,
I have been using my Silver King red professional model 73-b from 1992 as my daily driver lately and went to put a new spun poly filter in it and I seem to be out. I discovered the good ones are very hard to find now. This really is no big deal to me as I never liked the dump filter system anyway and have thought about retro fitting a bag before but never "needed to" but now I need to. Has anyone here ever found a bag that fills the tank and has a tight seal on the collar? I'd really like to use hepa bags if possible and I'm hoping to find bags that are still vastly produced. I mean I can probably use Fairfax bags but eventually I'm afraid even those will be hard to find. According to my instruction book they did used to make a paper bag for these that looked kind of like an over sized Eureka S-M bag. It was intended for those really dirty jobs when you don't want to over coat your filter. I find this a rather funny oxy moran lol
and speaking of which,,, way off topic but I also read in my 1980's Thermax instruction that they also had a paper bag adaptor for cleaning up fine dust/drywall that wouldn't stay in the water. unfortunately LONG discontinued.
This weekend I plan to play with several bags till I find something if no one here has an idea.
