ID on a vintage aqua triple head polisher?

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

I suspect that the aqua floor polisher-scrubber is a President (going by what I saw at Doug's website).

Fyi, here is what I located online about the company:

  • President's Role:
The President Vacuum Cleaner Company, also known as State Vacuum Stores, was not directly involved in the invention or early manufacturing of vacuum cleaners. Instead, they focused on distributing and branding vacuum cleaners made by other companies.

  • Branding and Distribution:
President, Silovac, and Classic were house brands of State Vacuum Stores, which operated in both Canada and the US.

  • Manufacturing Partners:
In Canada, President and Silovac models were manufactured by Bylock (England) and later Vactric (Scotland), and Switson Industries (Ontario). In the US, they were made by Apex. The Classic machines were also made by Bylock for State Vacuum Stores in Canada.

  • Not Original Inventors:
It's important to note that while President, Silovac, and Classic were popular brands, they were not the original inventors or manufacturers of the core vacuum cleaner technology.

"It may be that these were private label Electrolux machines with some unique features or that the patent had expired allowing other companies to produce similarly-designed models."

That was it looks like. I wonder if they use the same brushes and machinery as the Electrolux. Nice alternative options if looking for chrome machines.
