Thanks Fred. Another wonderful picture. I know this is from a late 1940's or early 50's instruction book, but can you please tell us the exact year? At my age the memory starts going.

By the way, Happy Holidays.

Today's Picture of the Day

Alex, it took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about! Today's picture of the day is not from an instruction manual but from a small promotional leaflet. It's the Model 505 from 1945.

Since Kirby's sales method has always been so centralized and devoid of media and magazine coverage, there is little representation in the photo of the day. Even though my fascination started with 516 through present day, I always enjoy seeing this pic of the day and always inspect it thoroughly. As I wonder why they expected us (and do to this day in their instructions) to take the handle off and place it in "portable" mode only to suck up that cob web that is up above. Chris.

Thank you Charles Richard

I knew I saw it somewhere! Actually I have a copy of that pamphlet somewhere amongst my paperwork which is still in storage. Thank you for jogging the memory!

As I said, at my age the mind isn't what it used to be. Classic case of C.R.S.(Can't Remember S---!)

I hope you and your partner have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

With love,

Bob/Alex
