I need some washing machine advice

I'm Back! Anyway I need some help finding a new washing machine and dryer. I had a Samsung High-Efficiency and that thing is junk! The warranty had expired 2 months ago and the motor went kapoot. What would y'all recommend me? I would prefer not to have a High-Efficiency washer so my clothes will actually get cleaned!

Go to the sister laundry site to here and ask. I got a nice top load Kenmore he machine about 3 years ago that works great but the tub bearings are already bad. Ill throw a new set in as I have all the parts and the tool now to do it. So don't know if I'd recommend it and you want a old school full water use washer so you probably want to look at a Speed Queen I think they're called. Last old style washers made and supposedly built like tanks.

Today there is only one choice in a washer for high quality and excellent cleaning. SPEED QUEEN. Get the top loader with manual dial (not electronic). Around here, they're $819 delivered.

That's what my parent's bought after the front loader they had quit. Only one that was recommended to them. I have a cheap Whirlpool, that I will probably replace with a Speed Queen when it fails.

Do it fast. See the thread on the sister site Automatic Washer.
Speed Queen is changing their wash format to a agitub design where the tub and agitator moves together. Frigidaire tried this a few years ago and it bombed badly.

Speed Queen may have been the last to offer a traditional top load washer, but not anymore. The new machines will be on the market in 2018.

We're talking a lot about the SQ TL's and FL's on the other forum. There's a service rep over there that denies any model shortcomings. I read through all the issues with the FL's from customers that bought them. Not really seeing a pattern though. If you could splurge the $1,400 retail for the commercial FL, it would last you probably the rest of your life.

I have a set of Speed Queen front load washer and dryers that I absolutely love! I've had them about a year. I've been meaning to do a video review on them .
I've sold other brands at other jobs and I'd say Speed Queen is on the level with Miele washer and dryers without the Hefty price tag. There are real #MAGA company!

On the sister site-they mention the Mechanical dial machines are no longer made.And they are changing over to the "agitub" design.I am normally a TL guy-but with that new SQ TL being offered-think I would get their FL machine instead-or go to swap shops and buy older TL machines.If you have space save them up!I would love to do that --and get a washer collection to go with the vacuum collection!But I don't have a huge basement like some of the washer-dryer collectors have.

They are making the point on AW that the "agitub" is a throwback to older washer designs that did not fare well. It will remain to be seen if the new SQ design can really be viable.

Yes, go to their FL's with larger capacity and adjustable water levels. This is KEY now with the current crop of FL washers....many think the knee-jerk Eco-design reaction to using less water is not washing stained clothes well.

About a year ago I coerced some friends of mine into buying a TOL Speed queen front loader set, so far they love them. Personally I'd say its my brand of choice. The first time I got to see the house I only had two, rather loaded questions... "Have you decided when you're installing a central vac?", and "You haven't decided what washer/dryer set you're getting, have you?" My friend loved the larger sized Miele set that they no longer make, so he wasn't sure what to get, so I just said "Speed Queen".

Missed this earlier, but Vaccumdevil was the victim in this story... LOL
