I need help!! ( Kenmore Direct Drive )

Hey guys i need help with my Kenmore Progressive DD. I need to get the foot release pedal off to inspect it and i dont know how. Can a Kenmore expert or someone who has worked on a DD Release Pedal before help?!

Try going to the Sears parts website and look up the vacuum


They should have some  parts diagrams.


This has helped me in the past.

kenmore release pedal

The metal strap with the phillips head screw is all that holds it in. There was originally a plastic leaf spring built into the pedal that has broken off.

The problem is guys I need to get it off and I have no idea how can someone make a vid and send it to me? Or a pic guide would be fine as well! I just wanna get the foot release pedal.
