So I am tossed up between something. I am helping someone clean out a house to barter for some silver faced stereo receivers. I have 4 machines that I want to chose one from and their advantages. I have my rainbow E2 gold with aquamate, Kirby Heritage with all accessories, filter queen majestic, and last but not least my sebo X4. the one thing all of these machines have is a large dirt capacity, multiple tools that are effective for cleaning a home. The house is a 3 bedroom house with wall to wall carpeting minus the kitchen and anywhere between 1200 and 1400 sqft on the main level. for the kitchen and entry way I have the hoover floor mate. The woman wants the carpets cleaned also.
What machine would you choose and why?

Obviously you should use the Rainbow E2 because it is bagless and it can be used as an aromatherapy device. Why does it matter? Because you want to show her what a great job you did. she can't see all of the dirt in the Kirby or Sebo bags. the water will magnify the dirt. You should also use some of the aromatherapy scents to make the house smell nice for maximum effect.

Since I work for rainbow I have tons of scents lol. I just wanted another opinion. I have not used an e2 for this type of cleaning as the house is BAD and when I say BAD I mean like a Kirby bag and a half bad

Go with the rainbow. you will not loose any suction. If the carpets contain tons of dirt. you can change the water at times when it stops moving. I know from personal experience this will happen. The Kirby will work great. However you may not get as even a deep cleaning before shampooing. This coming from a died in the wool Kirby user.

Had the experience at a farm house that was rented and being rented to an Aunt 2 hours away. didn't have room for the Kirby. and used their rainbow. and changed the water 3 times as it stopped moving in the vacuum and was very thick to almost stoped moving with the second vacuuming. 2nd vacuuming half the house with the second and third changes of water. approx. 950 sq ft of carpet plush and berber style

The rainbow does love Berber. The carpeting that I'll be cleaning is of a medium pile, tan in color and seems to be very thick with dust. I don't know what she used to vacuum or if she did in her final year but damn! there was a rainbow d2 in the basement everything was there minus the power nozzle, and the heritage in the garage. I will definitely use an aroma that's for sure as the house smells musty and old. I love the fresh air stuff that we have at rainbow the apple blossom and berry are nice too. Essential oils are a nice touch when it comes to a wide variety of smells.

Going into the unknowing. Go with the rainbow. Clean air machine. not much chance of breakage. vacuum from several angles overlapping. You will be amazed at what you get. I was just floored when It happened to me.

I have a rainbow I use to clean the halls in the apt building. I do use the Kirby but can fill the bag with dust in two weeks. I especially like the rainbow during winter. all the salt. Not a fan of canister vacuums. The rainbow is better in some situations because of the water filtration. If you can completely stop 2 quarts of water from moving you know there is a lot of dirt, dust and possibly pet fur. which there was in my case.

If it was an elderly person's place too?? The dust can be dry skin cells. My mom is a clean freak, but as she has gotten older and not moving well, her place is covered in this light dust daily, it's skin.I would take over my dc44 every day and it would fill twice! This is a 2 room apt
