So far this morning I've had 4 requests to reset my password. I am not alone, many of the uk members are also having issues.

If the person responsible is listening, you are an idiot. I know what my password is, all you are doing is showing it to me...no one has tried my gmail so its a bit pointless. Plus if my password does get changed then you should get a network security job, as my password is very complex!

We have an idea who it is, don't worry!

However I am not renewing my membership for now, and browse this site in private mode just for security and until I am confident nothing is compramised. Robert - can you see anything your end?

Yeh I've had 56 e-mails. Silly thing is, after the first 3, they all dropped into my spam filter so not only did they get auto-deleted, I didn't even know they were there until I looked.

Sounds to me like a very bitter person with way too much time on their hands.

Morning everyone, my apologies about that.  Yesterday I had no choice but to ban a certain member from the UK and overnight he was using the password retrieval button to enter people's usernames.  I turned that off so that should stop.

You see if you cannot remember your password a message comes up asking you to type in your username and it will email you your password.  There is no security breach, it's just a convenience feature.

Next week I'll change it so it wont allow any one person to do it more than a few times per day.

I've also just logged a formal complaint with his internet provider Virgin Media.  If he is still living with his parents they will get a warning letter.  Every ISP has a way to deal with people who abuse websites and this isn't the first time I've had to deal with an ex-member.

To my knowledge I didn't get any password reset emails but it is good to know it has been dealt with, thank you Robert.

Some people really do have too much time on their hands. I barely have enough spare time to check the latest threads here, let alone to send spurious password reset requests.

I'm a US member...

...And I received 5 emails this morning. I thought this was a security breach, but apparently not!

Turns out this wasn't just limited to UK members. I wonder if other US members are having this issue.

holly crevice tool!

I checked my email today and had SEVEN password reset requests!

Thankfully, it appears to be resolved. Thanks Robert!

Emails...

... I haven't have any either, not that he was my friend or anything, just I always tried to avoid his posts as I knew from the forum and externally what kind of a 'person' he was.

There's no need to worry folks. The person responsible was obviously targeting certain members. Thank you to Robert for sorting out this minor annoyance very quickly.

Lets not waste anymore time on one rather sad individual with nothing better to do than this petty, childish behavior in a desperate attempt to try and wind us up. It failed massively. The e-mails sent were all gone in a click of a button and all he did was waste his own time, not ours.
