I have never seen or her of this Kenmore untill now.

This is a Kenmore Lifestyle II. I picked this up and thought oh, a yellow Singer Simon. It wasn't untill half way home that I looked at it in the car and saw it was a Kenmore. This is funny because last fall I bought a Kenmore Lifestyle and had never herd of it and now I have the Lifestyle II. Are there any more that I should know about? I picked up many vacuums over the last two weekends that I hope to get cleaned up and pictures taken. This was the first of many to share.

This is the last one I have finished for now. I might get more on here as the very snowy night drags on, or I might just call it a night and pop in the Stephen King movie I just bought ( Silver Bullet) lol anyhow this is a Singer Powermaster. I guess it would be a very low end as it's just basic. No head light, but it does have a carpet setting in the back. There is a lever behind the bag the let's you set it from high pile to normal pile. It sounds great. I was driving around and went down the street and turned down the wrong street so I had to go back around the same block again and there it was on the curb. I KNOW it wasn't there two minutes before. I am lucky I went down the wrong street. I don't really have many Singers in my collection, maybe two but I think this will make a nice peice as well as the Kenmore.

I had a singer simon like the kenmore, I remember thinking this is weird there is a pixie on the bottom, why would any one put a pixie on a vacuum. I sure loved it ethier way.

That kenmore is in great shape! Singer vacuums are hard to find as well. Lucky you! Is the Kenmore made by Ryobi?

That Kenmore is sure in great shape, I don't recall that particular color. Im just drooling over it.
It is a Ryobi product Guy, Probably from around 1990.
As far as the Singer That would be the correct bag for a BOL machine, but the cord looks like a replacement being that it looks to long for that vacuum. I could tell better by seeing the plug. The approximate year of the Powermaster is about 1980-82. Could you post a pic of the bottom if you get a chance?
Both vacs are very nice and cleaned up very well. If you think of parting with that Kenmore think of me ;~)

Hello all, I just had a few questions ask about that Singer. Some one asked me if it was a metal or plastic base. It is the plastic. As for the cord lol I forgot to mention it didn't have a cord on it when I picked it up. I added the cord. As far as the Kenmore being made by Roybi, I would agree with kenmore81 however it doesn't say anything about it on the sticker. It just says Sears, Roebuck and Co.

Still working on others, BTW does anyone know how to take the motor cover off of a Eureka Excalibur upright??? I have never had one of these apart and I took all the screws out and it WON"T come off. I'm afraid i'll breaks it if I pull any harder. I looked at my Eureka break down for that model and it shows nothing different. I need to service the motor because it runs but after a few seconds it starts cutting out.
If you have never seen one of these in person it's a very different machine. It's a modern clean air Eureka crossed with the round belt F&G models. I didn't know it took a round belt, and the height adjustment comes off just like a dial-a-nap and has fron wheels just like the F&g

I remember those Singers.... the ones like your Kenmore Lifestyle 2... always wanted one as a kid. I did have an aunt who had a black and red Singer that had a soft bag... the bottom looked JUST like yours, but black and red instead. I loved that big two speed rocker switch. I always thought it looked a little like a race car! That aunt always abused her vacuums... she left that one behind when she moved to a different house and replaced it with a Hoover Elite. The Elite had the attachments all hose all missing, and the bag door duct taped on. Then she replaced with a first generation base model WindTunnel (I was mad at her because I told her to get a Fantom and she didn't). It was maroon and very simelar to the current Tempo. The WindTunnel survived, but the bag was so packed full that the machine must have weight 30 pounds and it wouldn't pick up anything... she even used it to pick up dog mess... I'd hate to think what would have happened to a Fantom if it had gotten into her clutches.

Anyway, AWESOME find (can you still get bags?) and the other Singer is nice too!

The Kenmore I think takes style 5061 bags that if nothing else do still come in generic.
