I got an Electrolux E today

Found it at an estate sale - the canister was in a bedroom, the power wand and hose was in a downstairs closet, and the attachments were scattered throughout the house. I couldn't find the power head (brush part?). They wanted $45, but all I had was $14 and they took it. It's been refurbished at some point and runs like a top! Came with an old looking crevice tool that looks to be made out of heavy duty cardboard?

And this GE was down in the basement - I didn't even ask the price. The thing weighed a ton!

I have to agree about the GE. Those are somewhat uncommon machines and usually sell for serious dough whenever a nice one is listed on eBay. And yes, they do weigh a ton!

You might want to consider going back to the estate sale tomorrow if it's still open. It would be a shame to let this one go considering you could probably get it for cheap.

I passed on the GE because it seemed too "rare" - I'm generally not too interested in something that I can't get parts (or bags) for easily and cheaply. I may go back and get it to pass along to someone, but shipping would be expensive - it was HEAVY!

Actually, it's an Automatic E, or AE, and a bit better than a standard E. Looks like it's in good condition. Hose looks original, but handle end has been replaced. As for your attachments, the rug nozzle is from a XXX, and the crevice tool is from an early XXX. The proper rug nozzle would be a flip over rug/floor nozzle, and the crevice tool would be the same compressed fiberboard but blue/gray in color. Your wheels are from a later model, possibly an F. But it is still an awesome find.

Since that AE was rebuilt by Lux - they probably used the same wheels they were using on rebuilt G's. Those are G hubcaps. They match the handle of the machine put on during the rebuild too. The original handle would have been a silvery-gray color. Someone may post a picture of their rebuilt G which was done up in the off-white wheels/handle/bumpers and the body painted Hammertone gray.

OH MERCY!!

There are zillions of Electroluxes, and VERY FEW roll easys, please everyone..if you see something odd, buy it, someone here would want it, I would give you 50.00 for the roll easy, no questions asked!!

I did end up going back to get the Roll-Easy - I'm pretty new to vintage vacuums and don't have the extensive background knowledge that most of the people on this site have, but I'm learning quickly!
