Info on the Fantom Fury...
The Fantom Fury vacuum was introduced in 1996 as a lighter weight alternative to the large and heavy Thunder. The fury had a 30 minute infomercial, and, to my understanding, sold very well. It originally had a 10 AMP motor, and the dirt bin was dark green with a black interior, as well as a black cyclone. The original Fury also had Teal Green accents on the bumper, handle grip, as well as the headlight and height adjustment slider. In 1998, Fantom restyled most of their lineup, with the fury receiving a higher powered 12 AMP motor, as well as a light Sage Green dirt bin with silver cyclone and interior, headlight, and height adjustment slider. The handle grip and bumper switched to the black, as seen in your 1999 example. In either 2000 or 2001, Fantom restyled the hood of the Fury to include a more modern looking "swoosh" headlight, as well as more curves on the body as well. There were 3 models of this restyle: Special Edition, Special Edition Plus, and Limited Edition. The Limited Edition did not have the original handle wand system, it had a newer one where you had a set of two collapsible aluminum wands that set in the back of the handle, with the main handle being fixed into place. When Fantom ceased using their old Dual Cyclone Logo, they switched to a new Single Cyclone logo. There are a few Fury Limited Editions that have different colors and the new logo. After that, they took the Fury, colored it a light powder blue with silver accents, created a new single cyclonic dirt cup, and called it the Crosswind 200XL. Not very long after, Fantom closed its doors on October 2001. And the rest is history.
