Apologies...

..to anyone here who has a Dyson. But i hate them. With a pasion and will never ever ever under any cirumstances own one. My Mum wanted to get one my reaction was "if you buy a Dyson, i'm moving out!" lol. Anyway, if u like them, u like them. But I can't do with bagless full stop. I'm DYING for a Sebo x4 hehe

Chris,

No offence taken!

I USED to belive in Dysons working so effectively and have had 3 myself (parents DC01, My DC04 and my other DC07 All Floors) but that went out the window when I tested a TP and Dyson side by side. The Dyson left too much deep down dirt in the carpet - not my idea of clean.

I think they really are overrated and cost way too much for what they are and the poor job they do.

Anyways the Turbopower you see next t my TM is the U1222.

Il get a pic up for you soon.

Rob

:)

U1222???

Rob,

Are you sure that the Black TP softbag junior is the U1222? I thought that was the U1220?

I have a U1222 and this has the headlight, and is in the Carmargue grey, EB exclusive I beleive!

Correct me if I am wrong however! :D LOL

Happy hoovering all,

Clark.

Slip of the finger!

Hi Clark.

Yep you are right - the black one is the U1220 from the second generation series.

I too have the Leccy Board Special U1222 in the grey.

Attached is a pic of the U1220.
Enjoy.
Rob

Jealousy...

...is well and truly setting in! LOL look at the size of that TM compared to the Turbopower. One question; how the hell do you manage to use the Miele on full power? Mine clings to the carpet even on the 'everyday' setting and I can hardly push it on the max setting. I only ever need to use it on the thick rug in my living room. Anyway, that's a hell of a set you have there :)

Do You Remember the 'Turbomaster Total System' Telly

It featured a man and a woman, each halved straight down the middle and put together to create one person.

The voiceover blurb was something along the lines of: "If one half of you prefers an upright cleaner, and the other half would like a cylinder..."

The half-man, half-woman really disgusted my sister at the time! LOL

Turbopower and Washer from 1985

Took this pic earlier - these would of been on sale in the showrooms at the same time.

Hoover Electron 1100 De Luxe and TP U1220

Got the Electron going as we speak!

Turbomasters

Nice one there boys, looks like it was just out of the box, I do like the slate colour, now only if they had done one in Logic Fascia Black!!!

Good work on the lists Paul, a few more sleepless nights...and Rob just watch when using it on the carpet it sits on, (looks like a tight looped pile??) I`ve seen many a turbo agi grab those loops and before you can switch off its hello new carpet!!!

Fred,

As you may tell, I'm the hoover elite man. In your second posting, when you where talking about changing the two belts in the Innovation, those two vacuums in the background and on the right were hoover elites, right? Well, can you take some pictures of them, especially the blackish one, for I have never seen a black hoover elite 600.

Thanks!

P.S. Thank you for setting up my account.

OMG!!!!!

You are the luckiest...!!!!!!!!!! I would kill for one of those! I also like your Royal in the background. Looks like a new version of mine:

Hi there, Paul! :)

Welcome to the other mad house! ;) My apologies for not seeing this sooner, though Mr Stubbs did inform me of the excitement surrounding this machine. :)

It’s certainly a very nice machine, and whilst my knowledge of Hoovers is lacking in many ways, I do remember these models distinctly, though I tend to remember little details. I guess, like many of us, it was looking through catalogues, picking up brochures and going into shops to look at them!

As others have said, this is in fantastic condition! :)

Rob and Paul, I hope you have a lot of fun with this and others, and it was very interesting to see the Electron, too, as I do of course like my white goods, too. :) Well, actually, if it has a plug on it, I like it – TVs, DVD players, computers, satellite, cable, other digital TV receivers, hi-fi gear... :) To be honest, I know more about consumer electronics like TVs and hi-fi gear than I do vacuum cleaners and white goods, but Seamus, Rob, Jack and others are teaching me, though it must be terribly frustrating for them, especially when I tend to ask Seamus about 20 questions one after the other! LOL :) However, I love love love vacuum cleaners and white goods just as much, if not more so in pretty much every way. :)

Finally, Rob and Seamus, although I do like Dysons, I am not as keen on the DC07 as I am on other models, as you may remember my documenting the problems with it, though I’m hoping newer DC07s may be better, especially with regard to the extra cyclones at the top clogging. :)

Anyway, I shall leave it there. :) My, this thread has been a very interesting read. :)

I’ve come down with a mouth/throat infection, so I might be offline for a bit or seemingly not replying to messages on here, but I hope to remain on MSN. Boooo! LOL :) Once these antibiotics kick in – they’ve started already – I should be somewhat better. :) Mum to the rescue again – she often spots something is wrong with me, by looking out for other symptoms, before I do, even though I’m very careful. :) Going out the other day has probably weakened me, so I’m lumbered with his! Grrrr! :)

Anyway, I thought I’d quickly mention it here in case I’m away for a bit. :) Sorry for the medical update that others might not want to see! Hehe :)

And, Paul, don’t you go getting any ideas about trying to compete with me in terms of how long messages are! hehe :)

Rob, Paul, Seamus, Jack, I shall speak to you soon, and hello to anyone who hasn’t yet spoken to me. :)

Take care. :)

Regards,

Carl :)
