Haan Steamer

I have the Haan Slimline also. I had the one that you have to pour water into, which was a pain. I too looked at the Bissell Steamer. I chose the Haan Slimline over the Bissell because of the squared off edges on the Haan cleaning pads. It will clean right up to the baseboards, I don't think the Bissell would be a good edge cleaner....Just my opinion. I think the two best out there without buying a $1000 plus steamer's would be the Haan or Bissell.

I really like the Bissell Sweep & Steam but I don't know if that would work out so well. I am not sure if I would want the mint green one that only steams, or the one with the sweeper.. Decisions Decisions..

Looks like a quality product

A single function steamer would probably do the best job, like the Han discussed above. If my home had a lot of hard surfaces to clean, I would buy a steam mop in a heartbeat. But for now I don’t mind getting on my hands and knees with a rag. Like my mother and grandmother did for years.

However, the Han does like nice. My guess would be that it is the elite in the steamer category. Some of the others just look cheesy.

Enjoy

I used to have a Shark canister type but it was very cumbersome to use although it did have attachments like spray nozzles etc for doing more than floors. I gave it to a friend when we moved. Found a little handheld steamer, forget the name now at the Goodwill last year. I recollect the pads on the shark getting wet very fast as well.

Hey I see you must have just got that Lady Kenmore (oster) blender.. from the looks of the Value Village sticker still affixed to it LOL

Chase...

I myself was thinking of the mint green Bissell or even the gray color that Target has available. I don't know why but I am not attracted to the Sweep and Steam one. I also think that for the price difference between the regular steamer and the Sweep and Steam, I would purchase the regular steamer.

I had the Haan recommended to me by Terry a few months back... I just had it in my head that the Haan was the one I wanted. I have never really been impressed by any Bissell products. I've repaired too many of them. (I'm not saying that it's not a good product, though... it very well could be.) Maybe that's why I didn't even really consider a Bissell. The Shark steamers also just seem to be not all that wonderful in the Quality department. Terry has a Shark, though -- so he'd be able to shed light on his experience. I also really like the lines, simplicity and compact-ness of the Haan. I also don't like the vacuum/steam mop combo. Just seems like too much.

Fred is right, I do have the Shark and have had it for two years. I must say that I really do like the idea of cleaning with steam and have for the most part been very pleased with it. Like all other things improvements have been made since I got mine. A removable water tank, longer cord, and better overall construction to name a few. I for sure have gotten my money's worth out of the Shark but my next one will be the Hann that Fred has.

I bought the newer Shark a while back, and I love it. It has a swivel, reversible head. I got mine at Costco. They give you one each of a large duster, a large steam pad, a regular-sized pad, and a triangular pad. They don't get too saturated, and the machine does a great job. It would be nice to have a removable tank.
