Last nite my mom took me to try a oreck and to decide which one I wanted and I chose the xl-ultra!! Beleive me the xl-21 did not pick up the fuzz as well as the ultra!!! I am getting the teal color. And up until last night, i thought the busta b was holding a baaloon, but I broughtmy dads 16pounder and it really does pick it up!! The canister is sooooo powerful and not wipy!!! i took the brush and the wand and put fuzz on thier hard floor and it really is strong!!! the xl-classic is a pice of **** it had a very super hard time pickking up fuzz, the deluxe was ok but had one speed only, then I tried the ultra and feel in deep love with it!!! but, just to make sure, I tried the 21 and it is not what it is hoped to be, it had a very hard time picking the fluff up! then I tried the busta b and WOW it is amazing!!! I dont know why you say it is wimpy but I thought it was really powerful!!! It was the black fancy one, not the one with the 21 but the deluxe one of the white one. My sisters boyfriend works in a hilton and he is going to get me a cloth shakeout bag out of grainger for a commercial model my busta b, I dont want to keep buying bags. I asked if I could have a corded handvac instead of the iorn and she said yes!! Now I just have to wait for x-mas.

oh, can it be used on shag on low? and I looked in the back room and saw a hoover convertible, eureka whirlwind, hoover convertible, electrolux epic, hoover legacy, innovation, and dirtdevil featherlite. I forgot to ask what they do with trade ins.

Buster B

Andy,

I have no doubt the Buster B can pick up a 16 lb. bowling ball, but this is static suction. Where the Buster B really falls short is the bag--it is so small (and made of paper) that it clogs VERY quickly, bringing airflow in that machine to nothing pretty quickly. Sure, if you change the bag every 20 minutes it will maintain strong suction--I'm not saying it's absolutely terrible, but it's bag design is a big shortcoming.

Bet you're excited though, glad you found something that you like. I would be all over that Hoover Innovation if I was there! Those aren't seen very often anymore.

Hoover Aggravation

I second that. The Hoover Innovation was one hell of a good carpet cleaning vacuum. Just loved that machine. They sold them for such a short time. Do you remember the Type B Hoover bags? I loved the stretch hose and the motor had a different sound than any other Hoover. The only problem, for me as a vac shop repair man, was the fact that they are a B**CH to work on. Hence the nickname within the industry, Hoover Aggravation. Try repairing the cord reel on one, and see what new words you come up with.

The ORECK XL

I don't think you'd feel that way if you ever test drove an ORECK XL-21. It's powerful!
