I was watching this video last night. This guy refurbs high end vacuums and sells them on Ebay. Some of you may have seen his videos. Anyway, if you move forward starting at 21:19, he's showing how these machines will not work vacuuming up fine powders or drywall dust. He says not to do it with any vacuum, but he wanted to show us how the powder blows right through, only, on the HYLA, it didn't. I saw a couple of particles tho......He didn't even try it with the Rainbow because it has a HEPA, but the other 2 machines didn't. I was surprised

Huh, I always figured it would be similar to otherless filterless water vacs, but it was surprising to see it retains dust a little better, at least compared to other filterless models.

I just managed to score a hyla GST so this video gives me an idea of how it'll compare to the E2 Black i've got.

I have the EST model with brushless motor like Rainbow. The separator is patented, and unique. I believe it captures a lot more dust in the water then other designs. Just don’t overload the water and run it for a long period of time, like 20 minutes, on high speed with dirty water.
