Huge favor: Would you mind posting advertisements for the Eureka 1400 series on this thread, with the following information?

MAKE, MODEL
ADVERTISER
PUBLICATION TITLE DATE (MM/DD/YYYY)


I'm trying to catalog what model was sold where, to confirm a theory about the 1400 series having different models for different ranges. I have access to the Seattle papers, so I'll post those here.

Hey Nick,

I downloaded some scans of Eureka print ads awhile ago and just hadn't posted them yet, so I only have the year or month & year labeled along with the model numbers and sometimes the stores, which include K-mart, Dayton's, Donaldson's, Zayre, and some others. They ads also include more than the 1400 Series. Keep in mind, too, that some companies such as hardware stores would have had their own fliers and would not have advertised in newspapers. My library's database includes the Minneapolis STARTRIBUNE, THE NYT, and some random magazines.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for these great print ads!!!!

I don’t think that first colour advertisement from KMart is from 1979. I am referring to the one that says “the Great Get-together”. The Eureka Ultra did not appear until about 1985 and the Rally also did not appear until the late 1980’s.

You're welcome! I'll double-check that "1979" ad. I'm wondering if I may have pulled that off the internet.

I appreciate your wealth of knowledge! My Eureka interest is recent, so my knowledge is quite limited.
