Saw MANY Reel-toReel "Monsters" in the master recording-Ampex 300 packed in feild cases!The other upright cases hold the Rec/Pb amps.Worked on MANY of these great,wonderful machines!!!And in another scene where the reel tapes being made--another old freind-the Ampex 3200 dubber!!!Worked on keeping many of these going.The broadcast agency where I work used to use Ampex 300 decks in their studios and very early feild jobs-and they also had 350 decks in feild cases,too.Ampex decks like these are coveted in studios today over digital!These wren't "monsters" to me but good freinds!See the other forum for RR "Monsters".
