I noticed this F&G Eureka on eBay that has piqued my curiosity. What stands out to me the most is the "5.0 Amps" logo. While I don't know for certain when that font was introduced by Eureka, I've always associated it with the early to mid 1990s models; The Bravo and Powerline era comes to mind. Would anybody be able to recognize the year of production of this Eureka? I'm hoping someone here can give more specifics than the seller.

I suppose my more overarching question is if this Eureka really is from the early 90s, where was this sold? When were F&G uprights phased out of retail department store sale? I know the last Hoover Convertible was discontinued around 1992. I imagine by this time Elite/Bravo sales had proven their appeal to consumers, thus why I'm so surprised by this model. Since I'm a younger collector, it's impossible for me to answer this from experience.

Thanks!

I would date this one a little earlier....maybe even 1985-1990. The slanted, italic version of the Eureka brandname began even with the last versions of the Eureka Express.

Wow...is that a Eureka catalogue you have? Any chance you could post a scan of the page, Nicholas? So interesting to learn that there were other Dial-a-Nap Eurekas available in the 1990's. I thought the only "survivor" was the famous classic Boss.

Well I was a child of the early 90's and there were still many f-g eurekas in the stores. here it was Gibson's general store as well as Alco (RIP), TG&Y, and for a while I remember them in k mart.

Thank you Nicholas! Great line-up!

Strange that Model 1925, with the unique hood from the Self-Propelled series, is not a deluxe model with a VGII brush roll.

I guess these F&G budget vacs were limited to Vac Shops...don't think I ever saw them at Kmart or the like in Florida when I used to vacation there in the early 1990's....

I see the model I have been dying for

My great grandma whom I was very close with had a Eureka matching that model I believe it was model number 1432 and Type B. I have been searching for that model since she passed away.
