Yesterday I picked up an orange md. U4023. Now I remember reading here that it is common that the front lens gets melted in front of the bulb. This one is no exeption.

Now is it me or does the metal base convertible sound a little different than the all plastic ones? I previously have been using an all plastic one until this one came along.

Judging from the list I have provided by Jeff Parker, this would be from 1973-75 production run. This model is not listed but there are model nbrs. before and after in that category. What color is it, and what type of hood design?

I'm not

sure what a full hood model is...the hood sits on top of the metal base, it does not go down all the way to the bumper. Sorry no camara! The bag is orange perferated vinyl with a zipper closure. It has an orange bumper that wraps around to the back. The lens says Convertible Deluxe.

It is a rear tool conversion type. What makes it Deluxe? Is it because it has a lever to speed up the motor when the hose is stuck in?

Are you certain of that model number?

I know of a U4033, but not a U4023.

The 4033 is from '75, its colors are poppy and oyster white, and it was a headlight model.

Can we have some pics please?
