How Do You Explain You’re Into Vacuums Cleaners ?

I tend not to confess my "condition"; repairing/collecting Valve-radios, Fans, Vacuums, Sewing Machines...
People's eyebrows go up, and they adopt a stunned silence.

A lot of it's the 'dirt' part. Most people don't want to talk about things directly related to human waste. I doubt that you'd get much traction talking about collecting garbage trucks. 'Out of sight, out of mind' when it comes to human waste. Like the continent of plastic water bottles/waste that's floating out in the ocean.

There is a website pertaining to trash trucks---"Classic Refuse Trucks" Yes some guys on this do collect trash trucks and restore them as we do vacuums-it is a fascinating website-and they do show the trucks compactors in use.That is the most complicated part of the truck trash body.I like them-I do visit the CRT site regularly.
