Hey guys, got myself a used Fantom Cyclone XT on eBay. However, it is in rough shape...

I want to make this thing look as new as possible again. The only real challenge to me would be making the collection bin look clear and shiny. How do I go about doing this? Anything that I need to take in mind or do very carefully? Special methods?

Everytime I wash a bin out it looks foggy with no change.

Also, the bottom of the unit has white tape where the clean out door would be since it's missing. For now that will have to do because I will never find a replacement due to the rarity of the machine in general.

Any info helps guys, thanks!
Nick

I had asked...

When I had my fantom i asked this same question and what i was told was that black fantom plastic was the hardest plastic to shine back up to like new condition. As far as the dust bin goes the dirt acts like fine sandpaper and over time physically scratches the plastic and gives it a cloudy look. The best thing I found was Nu Finish scratch doctor but that was just something i had lying around, 3M and some other companies make scratch remover so i would try one of those.
