Musicians!

Great pic!Could almost be enlarged to a row notes as sculpture with vacs as bases.(I have read that L Welk added music notes to the horizonal chrome lines on the rear side of his 58 Oldsmobile.Anyone know more?)

RE Lawrence Welk..

This I doubt because he ONLY drove Dodges as they were his sponsor, after they left his show...he still drove only Dodges until he died.

L Welk

There was the Chrysler Corp connection but I think I saw mention of this somewhere possibly among 4 or 5 of the better antique car mags.---I did also see(with pics) possibly a 2 page feature on celebrities with custom liscense plates in 70s.This may have been a nat. Enquirer type paper or movie mag.Welk had "a 1 an a 2"or similar plate on I think a full size deluxe Plymouth of early 70s that may have been his last car.---This was about the time Tim Convay had "13 wks" on the back of his Cadillac as he was known for coming out with a new show that would be cancelled after 13 week period.
