Just an FYI of sorts.....those newer style LUX hoses (and I suppose any hose that shape), that are shaped at the end with the 60 degree convenience angle (which would of course include those 'pistol grip' types)......you really need to work a bottle brush up in there and see what comes out.

I should have taken pics....but I'm not sure what level of 'gross' most members would tolerate.

Anyway, it was like dirt bound with something to make cake clumps. And it kept coming out! So.....after I cleaned and then rinsed it with soapy water (DON'T do this unless you take apart the handle and remove the electric bits) the airflow improved. Lacking a Baird meter, ahem, I went back to the postcard tug 'o war trick and again pitted the G against the 1205. Different story than my previous posting and the 1205 actually won...but only once in ten trials that is.

However, there was fierce competition if I pulled the two nozzles away slowly. The post card would vibrate and scream, much to the consternation of my dogs. Before, the G was hands and away the clear winner every time.

Of course most of this hose problem is a direct function of what exactly you vacuum up. I have a bathroom rug that is slightly damp when I vacuum it sometimes. I'm sure that kind of scenario helps contribute to the cake clumps of dirt I found. And that angle of course, would be a trap for anything that could possible stick to the bend.
