I picked up a replacement hose for my Wards (Eureka Powerteam) for $3 at Thriftown but the chrome grip has some rust. What do you recommend? Should I sand an repaint it chrome? Thanks for the input.

VERY FINE STEEL WOOL
Get the finest steel wool you can get from the local hardware store and some chrome polish. Put a little bit of chrome polish on the steel wool and rub the chrome parts ad the rust will go away if it is not too bad. If you sand and paint it you will be upset over time because it will easily peel off and become ugly again.

I use WD40 to clean off rust.
