I recieved the hose for my kenmore magicord 3.9 today. IT IS WHITE AND MADE LIKE THE ORIGINAL. The part number is 2405(I think) from sears parts direct. It cost 35 or 45 $ I will post pics of the machine in the next few days.

LOL true...

That makes two of us Lane.I have a late 60's Kenmore that Id like to get the hose for and thats as close to original as I can get unless I find a used one but its been at least 3 years that Ive had the vacuum

Mine was made I think

In 1983, im not sure what month though, I did have the Sears sales slip and it was purchased may 1984 IIRC I could be a year off but im 98% sure it was 83. Ill look when I get home.
im at work now i won't be home till aroud noon.
As far as the green one it like 67-72 ish.

...

I think someone in the family gave the kenmore to my grandma. not sure. I'll ask her. I might get my grerat grandmothers kenmore who died last summer. It is mine as long as no one else wants it. That one is prolly late 90s. 1 or 2 years older than the kirby g3 which she had before.

Thanks Doug

I knew I had seen a thread or two with that vacuum, ebay had a blue one for 100 bucks I saved it in case they listed it cheaper. I used to have the PN in the early 90's.I used it with my white canister then ended uo selling it I also had a green one and a MOL-TOl blue one but I belive I parted them out.
I think Pete has one also in blue.

Lane, yours is a mid 80's also. They started to phase them out around 86ishwhen they came out with the top hose design, Sears did keep one model untill aroun 1990 It was Black and light gray with red trim and labeled as Heavy Duty, like the comercial Upright and of course a matching Power Spray steam cleaner. I think someone may have had a pic.
Sears had a few designs in the 80's If I find a pic Ill scan it.
