Hoover Windtunnels

I love my Hoover Tempo Widepath upright which has the WindTunnel suction channels in the brush cavity. It's a powerful deep carpet cleaner and very easy to use. I got the original version that came with a headlight and bag change indicator (the newer versions don't have this) Though the on-board tools and short hose are rather useless for anything other than spot cleaning of hard to get at spaces, it is a fantastic carpet cleaner and very good value for the money - only CAD$120 at Home Depot here in Toronto! Great Suck for the Buck! :-)

Hoover Windtunnel 2

I just acquired a free Windtunnel 2 bagless. The large orange/white model with electronic height control knob. When I have a chance to clean it up & play with it I will post a pic.

I had a 5400,

Which I have passed on to my daughter. Still going strong, Panasonic
upright attachment set, with tapered end piece to insert into the short hose of the Windtunnel.
Then you have an awesome cannister like suction and convience. Especially when you buy a new or a used floor brush for hard floors, under beds, and furniture. Also
great for cleaning the car especially with a tubo nozzle, Great on Carpeted steps too.
For me all the fun of a Kirby, but with a Hoover Windtunnel and less hassel. Liter weight too.

Hoover Windtunnel U5301-9RM

Hey guys I recently purchased this Hoover windtunnel U5301-9RM at a yard sale. Doess anyone know how old tis model is? Thanks

I believe the age is based on the 1st 4 digits of the serial number. For example, my Hoover Power Drive's serial number starts with 0797, so the vacuum would have been made in July 1997, or 7/97.

I MUST get all of mine together for a family photo

This latest one was bought new...for only $20.00 plus free shipping. It's the "Anniversary" model. I thought before I got this that they only made it in blue. I was wrong. It's as heavy as the Convertibles, though. So much for 'plastic'...only cheaper, not actually lighter in most cases. I'll post a pic later.

just picked up a bagless self propelled out of the trash the cord was off i just took a one off my empower since i never liked it but everything works but all it needs is a new arm since it doesn't go forward but goes back fine
