So just went to the Henry company. Got a sick sounding model 62, and when I get into it I discover... Well the pics show it. Probably more bad things further in.

Il finish it tonight and post pics.

Looks like the armature top will always be trashed since I don't have money for a new one. trading out that top convertible bearing for a REAL hoover 62 bearing. Dousing the fan and armature top in my equivalent to parts cleaner, alcohol. The beater bar was assembled incorrectly. 2 spring washer on one end and bearings on backward for both. Again, doused in alcohol and repacked with grease. Carbons were chipped. Replaced. Should look good by the end of the day.

Convertible bearing is the right upper bearing, it just went on sideways.
I might have a 62 armature in my parts but that needs new copper bars. You could take the bars off the old one and put them on this one.

I sadly don't have the time or knowledge to redo the bars. I finished this thing tonight and its a little ratty sounding but overall it sounds perfectly usable.
