Hi guys.Havent been on here in a while but my vac collection has been booming.Im looking for info on my latest addition,A very uncommon Hoover vogue. It came from Numaticrule 29 in a trade. He got it off a Scottish collector who then got it off an Nothern Irish collector.Ive found out that it uses a Freedom motor and there was a white more duluxe model and tgats it.It smells of burning for some odd reason as the motors fine.

Either a rough commutater or poor wiring...

If a motor is a fresh rebuild it will smell for 2 mins after first run. That's probably not it, but this smell is definitely carbon brush/armature isssues. COuld also be faulty wiring after a rebuild, poor connections, burning grease in the bearings (someone used cheap grease), or maybe even something is binding the shaft and straining the motor. All of these problems are fixable, but an armature could be hard to find if that is the bad part. Good Luck
