In the Dyson thread you had asked to see a picture of my Hoover V2. I actually have two of them, one that I bought from a friend, and another one that I took as a trade in at work. They are very similar, just seems that they are different colors. The one on the left in the picture says TurboPower 7300. Maybe you could tell me what the differences are in the two machines. They are actually really fun machines to use!

There's really no difference between the two models... other than: The "TurboPower" model came with a 2-year warranty, the non "TurboPower" model would have only had a 1-year warranty. The TurboPower also may have come as a bag/bagless setup--where you get both cups.

I think that grey one did come as a bag or bagless--(they included both cusp in the box). I seem to remember carrying that light grey model at work for a very brief time, and of course we also had the TurboPower. The TurboPower may have come with an extra 20' hose, too.

I'm soooooo glad they don't make those awful 4-brush machines anymore!!

Yours are also later "Dual V" models, as opposed to an earlier version... the "V2."

They made some changes to them (mostly the gear housing, the main body, the height adjustment, the brushes), and re-named them. The early V2 models had a clear housing around the agitators, the later ones were "smoked" like yours are.

Hoover Saavy

I just acquired a Hoover Saavy with the 4 roller brush design. The customer traded it in because the slide switch was defective, so I put a new one in. I'd like to know what others think about this setup, since I don't think it's been discussed here on the forum yet. Seems like a very complicated machine. I had a Windtunnel V2 into the vac shop where I work about a year ago, and the ends of the brushrolls melted. I'm surprised Hoover doesn't have some kind of safety where the motor cuts off if the roller brushes are jammed. The new Saavy now has a single roller brush. Also, I've been told the roller brushes on the Saavy spin outward, whereas the rest of the Windtunnel V2 line spun inward. Any thoughts on this?
