i have a v series steam vac and i got all new parts for it and the gasket for the hose port seal broke and i only used it once i was wondering if it is a common problem for the seal to brake ?
I have 4 steam vacs in my collection. the part that I notice that fails is the trigger that you squeeze for the water too come out on the stair cleaning tool on the hose. it looses the smooth trigger action and if you let the urpight handle tip too far back it rips the hose off the the dirty water get put into the recovery tank. since I have a collection I am always making a franken steamer.
The Hoovers are the best choice. The older standard style is less troublesome than the newer deluxe V style. The broken hose described above can happen over time but easy to change. Is important to -1.DO NOT LOAN to any one!Instead say-"You need to clean carpet?Iwill come over tomorrow and use mine. You can pay for my time and cleaning solution."-2.Do not leave with liquid in tanks after using.
replace my front nozzel on my all terrain and where it broke is that black rubber ring on where you hook the hose up and at sanitaire i just got a brand new hose and my old did that but i keep it all clean and i comb the brushes out and i have a spare on back up and the only problem i ever had with one of my steam vac was my widepath the hose rotted out and i have it to my friend so he can use mine for parts or fix it and have it as a space
