Hoover U4127 rebuild?

Hi all, a bit new here.

I have an old Convertible U4127 I just picked up recently, and I'm curious what I should be looking at on a rebuild and refurbishment for this cleaner. Any specific parts or part numbers (or heck, somewhere to find parts) that I need to look out for?

There isn't much you need to look for, as these Convertibles are tough as nails.


Yours was one of the first plastic base Convertibles, introduced in 1978 and ran to 1985, if I remember right.

I cleaned it up a bit at least on the exterior (it's scuffed a few places) and inside the brushroll. I probably need new bearings eventually for it and I wouldn't mind cracking it open to clean off the motor.
