Doug...
Thanks for the compliment... although I'm very fussy and still think the vacuum looks like cra.... lol

I've had a few old Kirby heritage 1 & 2's over the years.

About 6 - 7 years ago I bought myself a brand new Ultimate G Diamond Edition from our local Kirby dealer. Paid £995

Kept it for about 3 years. Found I couldn't use it much - we had two big smelly dogs at the time and after a few uses the Kirby bag used to start to really stink!
I tried every bag freshener going and nothing worked and in the end I ended up selling it on eBay.

All I have is the main picture I used for the eBay listing... Here it is...
Wish I'd kept it now as sadly the dogs died from old age about a year ago

Diamond Edition ( Two speed motor)

Hi Matt Funny you should have that Kirby I got the same unit From E-bay vacuum only thats fine because i have the G6 as well and the hose fits the Diamond Just fine. As i am a collector i dont use it to much i paid 170.00 however it looks like it just came out of the box. Very nice talking to you Matt Take care. Hope to hear from you Soon. God Bless and have a Merry Christmas Doug

LOL
I saw it on eBay and thought "that looks like it would clean up well" and it just reminded me of when I was younger. Plus I think it is a nice example of a TP2 being the top end model.... So I bought it.

Its a case of I didn't need it, I won't use it, but I wanted it, so I got it haha

Didn't want to see it go to waste and be binned or anything

Plus money burns a hole in my pocket!

Very nice Matt!

And wow, you grew up with some very nice vacuums! I have a Panasonic MC-E46, which is like the 43N, but with a higher wattage motor. (I got it from Chris!)

You've cleaned that TP2 up very nicely, well done.

Right... Alex.... This is the machine I got to use as a donor for my Permabag TP2.....

Its an early version and it runs well. However there are a few 'small' things that mean it is of in interest for me to personally restore....

IF you want the whole machine you can have it for the cost of the postage... or maybe we could meet up at some point and you can show me your collection.... ORRRR if you want it for parts I'm happy to strip it for you... I know the brush rolls are hard to come by.....

If you want it stripping I can sent the parts in the box from my DC39.
If you want the whole machine I don't have a box large enough just yet so you'd have to wait....

Anyway here it is....

(I'll point out the issues per picture)

Yeah sure :) I want to be sure everything that can be used has been used before I chuck it away!

Hate throwing old machines away.

I'll have a mooch about tomorrow, if you're just wanting the bag door I'll see if I can fid a box smaller than the DC39 box and get you a quote for postage....

Shouldn't be much at all

I'll drop you an e-mail tomorrow evening and let you know.

If you still want it I'll run a private listing on ebay for the postage price and you could pay via paypal - so you know I'm not gunna swindle ya LOL

Aww, Matt

Thanks so much, I never thought I would get another bag door for my U2464, mine is actually in all good condition, it was just the bag door that was split, thanks Matt, yeah, we will sort it out via email tomorrow. :)

Thanks again.
