turbopower

hi all! i have the turbopower boost total system autoflex model U2718 whatever you want to call it, and i think it is very good. a good feature is you can get it stuck on a rug or someting then the belt will not get damaged- i got mine stuck on a mat for about 7 seconds and the belt hadn't even perished! and that activator cleans really well for a 20+ year old machine.

It cleans so well because it is a dirty air machine with excellent airflow and a great brushroll that beats and sweeps the carpets to release that grit.
The main reason a turbopower cleans so well is because it's a HOOVER!!! The perfect brand for carpet care.

Gosh I am flippant when I want to be, haha. :)

The part which let the 2000 series down was the plastic tubes. Although the first model in the series was sold as a stand-alone model, with metal tubes, when the whole range went on sale (including the Electricity Board model 2000), all but the top models had plastic tubes. The plastic tubes were very strong in terms of splitting, but they still were very bendy and flexible in use. Electrolux were of course clearly falling in line with what their competition were offering, and who could blame them, but never the less I did not like it as I always respected Electrolux for their high quality.
