She looks great!

And I hate to say, in slightly better condition than my Turbopower 1000, even though she is a year older...

As for the tools, I do have a spare set of tools in my shed but they are spare for my Turbopower should I ever need replacements.

I'm sure you could pick up some genuine HOOVER tools cheaply enough from a second hand shop or online.

Thanks for that "jmurray" ( sorry I don't know your name) however another collector gave me some turbopower 2 tools off a later yellow 900 watt turbo 2, the dusting brush is the correct colour for some reason but the upholstery and long crevice tool are black. It didn't have the shorter crevice tool since it came off a later turbo 2. Here is a pic of the tools. Oh and, that shorter crevice tool is jist one I found in the cupboard that fits it, it is not genuine hoover.

Here is a video I made a week ago, demonstrating the autosense feature. Please excuse the mess in my living room, we have a baby, so the house is a bit messy at the moment.

"the top power level is only suitable for use with the tools and hose." Well I find the Turbo button (maximum wattage) very useful when vacuuming up an abundance of dirt, as I did today after cleaning the Guinea Pig's cage, that wood shavings get everywhere!

On a random note after using it today I also changed the bag as it was exactly half full, cleaned the filters and gave it a polish. The bag I put in was a genuine HOOVER one, not the Electruepart ones I normally use and I have to say, it feels much thicker than the Electruepart counterpart bags, so I believe it will filter much better.

Oh, and I popped in a couple of Pan Aroma Orange scent tabs so she smells as good as she sucks... Perhaps I should have reverted to calling "her" an "it" at that point to avoid any misinterpretation! Ha ha.

Mine did actually have the sales sticker when I got it from the dump Jacob, but I stupidly binned it. I'm forever kicking myself for doing that when I see one with the sticker intact.

Yupp indeed the "turbo" button is ment for the tools however I mostly use it on just the low/medium for the tools it is more than enough power.
I used mine to pick up wood shavings today from cleaning out the hamsters cage and it left lots of crap all over the carpet, should realy of used news paper but then there wouldn't be the fun of hoovering it all up, lol but anyway the turbo 2 got all the stuff up in one pass, well it would do, it is a hoover, haha, I was lead to believe that when you used your 1000 to clean up the saw dust on that video, you had it set for shag pile accidently, LOL so it didn't do to well, ahh well never mind, cool vid though, I think I asked you if you would do an update video on your 1000, but I can't rememberif I did?

I've actually got my Hamster's cage to do tonight, but I don't think I'll use the Turbopower for that, as I've only just changed the bag and don't want to fill it up straight away, I'll maybe use the Ranger, with her dirty fan technology she'll get it all up nice and easily.

I love the ranger, hope to get one of those soon or maybe just a gegular senior but I believe they are exceptionally good deep cleaners am i right in thinking that?

I wonder if they can clean better than the juniors, or equally as good, I have a junior, they are really good, however I have noticed the juniors strugle to pick up little rocks, I believe that is because of the way the fan is set up.

I had a few Seniors once including the Senior Ranger. Eventually got a Powerplus that had seen better days and just swapped over the bag/bellows for top filling. I found better pick up and the bag filled better. I miss my Senior. I may buy one again.

"however I have noticed the juniors struggle to pick up

Metal fan machines seem to be a bit better in this respect e.g. 1334, or 119. A plastic fan U1104 would never lift them. I found that very annoying.

Thats cool, I prefere the idea of the top fill bag rather than bottom fill you would definitaly get more dirt in the top fill bags.
I havn't seen the power plus do you have a picture of one?

About the hoses. What is pictured here is the original hose, the design being plucked straight from the original Turbopower and Turbomaster cleaners. It is indeed too narrow to use easily in it's current format, not because this is a clean-fan machine, but because the cleaner relies on the hose 100% of the time, whether in tools mode or upright. Added to which the hose obviously has to bend around the holster when in upright mode. It meant that clogging of the hose was more likely, and trust me, they did clog. This hose might have been fine on a clean-fan cleaner which didn't use the hose for upright cleaning, like a Dyson doesn't, but not for this type of machine.

The introduction of the Turbopower 3 saw the hose being changed to a standard diameter hose. This was much better, although still could clog like any other machine might. Hoover reverted to the narrow hose around 1999 and I have no idea why.

There is no doubt that the narrow hose could have put a strain on the motor, but in reality I don't think it did on most machines, as up until the late 1990's the motor was of very good quality. Also, these cleaners had thermal cut-outs which worked well and would soon switch off if something was blocked. Though many of the blockages I cleared were on cleaners where the owner complained of poor pick up, a good deal of machines were brought in as 'no power', because the thermal cut-out had come into play.
