Hoover TURBOBOOST U2570 (december 1988)

Another one of my job lot machines, from what Ive gathered the TURBOBOOST is quite a rare machine and was sold exclusively to Currys, anyway here is the restoration and after pics, as I type this the machine is drying out on a towel after a bath scrub and a rinse.

opened the bag door to find this, the bag weighed a ton.

Still had the original air freshener disk strait from the 1980's.

As you can see it hans't been sun damaged which this particular color named by hoover as lilac slate grey is prone to doing.

The handle release doesn't seem to be working, it appears that the pedal has slipped out of its normal operating position.

A very mucky set of bellows, with the older style black ratings sticker indicating this is an 80s model.

As you can see the belt has been stuck in one position for a while, you can see the part of the belt where it has bent out of shape from being around the motor spindle for to long.

This model came with a bag light which illuminated when full, I believe this was caused by positive and negative pressure.
