Hey guys,
this was another, being in the right place at the right time. With a visit to a charity shop, I found this Hoover Turbo Power2. Haven had the Turbo power 3 at home that needed a hose, I thought well let me take it, there will always be a space somewhere for a hoover or Kirby.
Hence getting home, I was surprised to see that the machine had very little signs of usage, and was particularly surprised that the final inspection label, the instructional aid, underneath was intact.
The brush roll needed cleaning and the bearings on the brush roll, cried out that they are in the desert in need of grease, but either than that as smooth as new.
I replaced the filters and filter bag, drive belt cleaned it and when opening the motor compartment it was clean. There was more dust gathered on the outside of the machine from standing unused, than inside, hence the collection compartment included.
It is a remarkable machine, and fascinates me when you switch it on it starts off at a slight above usual speed, and then adjusting to the speed required for upright cleaning. When passing over debris the sensor acknowledges it and change the speed to the orange light, the next, and also higher speed. Once the debris is cleared, the machine automatically switches to green, a lower speed.
Should you need the entire 1000W for using of tools, by activating the highest speed, you push a button, changing the light to the next light, being red. It has an amazing suction, however I do find that it does not pick up the carpet at the corners like older models do.
On board accessories, this was too wonderful. HAHAHAHAHA It does have its limitations which was sorted out in the turbo power 3, like when the stretch hose were used the machine may fall over, but it was not the end of the world if you know how to take care and look out for your Hoover.
Am I mistaken by saying that this was the first Hoover model that used the fan suction pulling suction through the bag, as appose to the dirty fan system from previous models, where first passed through the blades of the fan?
It has a double pre motor filtration system, and an extra double post motor, and then of course the paper filter bag.
Many Thanks
Adrian.
