Does anyone know whether or not any of these dates for these vacuums Hoover had introduced are correct?

1952 - Constellation
1955 - Pixie (replaced Dustette here)
1956 - Lark
1957 - Convertible
1962 - Portable
1963 - Dial-A-Matic
1964 - Slimline
1965 - Lightweight Upright (replaced Lark Upright; called Junior in the U.K.)
1969 - Portable Super (wheeled version of the Portable)
1970 - Swingette
1972 - Handivac (replaced Pixie)
1973 - Celebrity (replaced Constellation)
1975 - Portapower (replaced Swingette; would also replace the Portable and Slimline after 1980)
1978 - Concept One (replaced Dial-A-Matic)
1981 - Spirit (replaced Celebrity)
1982 - Dimension (upscale version of the Spirit line)
1983 - Concept Two (same as Concept One, with Help-Mate hand vac included); Decade 80
1986 - Innovation (called Turbomaster in the U.K.)
1988 - Elite (replaced Convertible; BOL versions called Turbolite in the U.K.)
1989 - Sprint/Tempo (replaced consumer-line Portapower)
1990 - Legacy (replaced Innovation); Futura (replaced Spirit)
1991 - Supremacy (this was an upscale line of uprights and canisters; the canisters were based on the former Spirit line)

Thank you,

Ben (KirbyClassicIII)

Well, I'm pretty sure 1954 was the year of the first Constellation (model 82) as a replacement for the Aerodyne, and the first Celebrity was introduced in 1974.

I would like to mention that the Portapower Deluxe (model S1029; with wheels and onboard tool storage) had replaced the wheeled Portable Super (model S3015) in 1979. The other two Portables and Slimline continued until 1980.

The Quik-Broom was a new name in 1974 for the Handivac Upright.

The Elite became the Elite II in 1991; the Legacy model would follow suit as the Legacy II the next year.

More please

I apologize for redundancy when I know this has been asked on this board again and again. This looks good, but has anyone ever assembled a complete listing for Hoover U.S. models? Since I've been here, when this was asked, Fred (Hoovercelebrity)'s collection is always shown, but is there a detailed listing of the models and dates? Fred, if you have provided this, I apologize for asking again. I have a pretty good idea of the most popular basic models since the 40s (28,29, 60-70, 1060-, 70s Convertible, Dial a Matics, Elites, Legacy, Windtunnel..) And Fred clearly has a complete collection of all the models, but have all those models and years of production ever been published such as it is with the Kirby models? I know there are models such as 305 that I'm not thinking of.
