What a neighbor of mine growing up got after her 1976 Kirby was repossessed. No lie!

Her husband gave her anything she wanted. She grew up poor in Mississippi.
He was a blue collar factory worker who over extended his credit.
He was stationed in the army in Biloxi. She was 16 when he asked her to marry him, and told her if she did, she could have whatever she wanted.
That year, the tax refund check paid for new kitchen appliances, new carpeting, a Zenith Allegro stereo console, but she needed a new vacuum to clean with.
He borrowed a personal finance loan, and when his wife did not have enough to make the payment two months in a row, the finance company took her beautifull new Kirby. Just like when people lose cars. If they sold it for $300, they recoupled most of the loan.
After she went two weeks without a vacuum, K mart had a sale on Hoover Porta powers.
