Like Mr. Rare Uno, Steamvac Jr 2.0 seems rare too. On youtube there is only one video on it. It was an advertisement of the Steamvac Spot. I'm also assuming it was a disposable steam cleaner. The blue Steamvac Spot Duo is one of my dream machines. This was also made for pet stains and spills because there was a dog making messes in the commercial. It also has a fold down handle like The Fold away Released 3 years prior. Here's some pictures of both the red and blue models too, both in their Upright and Folded positions.

Is this machine a later day version

of a stationary model that came out about 10-15 yrs.ago? This looks way more techy. The one I'm referring to was made to sit and scrub problem areas,stains mostly. I remember a commercial showing the owner merely setting the machine down and switching it on and walking away. I wondered at the time if the cleaner had a timer to shut it off, in case the operator lost track of time and came back only to find the machine cleaned right through the carpet and fell through the floor!! The machine you show is obviously a full cycle cleaner, clean,rinse, vacuum. The machine I'm referring to doesn't have a handle or wheels.That is a nice looking machine indeed. I think you need to ad this to your collection!

Do you mean the Bissell SpotBot? It is "set it and forget it". It has a cleaning procedure that it runs through like a washing machine. This is assuming that you have kept it in perfect working order.

I have one. I got ripped off of $20 on it at a yard sale because it leaks like a sieve. Almost got electrocuted when I was cleaning the car with it and it unknowingly had formed a puddle under it that I happened to be standing in.

I recently tried to use it after 5 years in storage and the water flow is DOA. Clogged or a hose split. Need to repair it.

But I think it got forgotten about because it takes longer to set the whole thing up and for the machine to clean the stain than it would to just clean the spill up normally. It's a bit of a faff. Using it as a portable handheld cleaner, it does wonderful on upholstery though. I only used mine for that, I never used the spot scrubber.

Holy Cow, you certainly had problems with that machine! It looks different than what I remember seeing back then, I'm going to have to do some checking. I think the machine I'm thinking of had two round brushs,one on either side, if that makes sense. It was a Bissell for sure. It was oblong with a clear dome like top with handle on top and you could see a round brush on each end. Spot scrubber? That's interesting that it had a complete cycle as you mention. I always thought it was a one trick pony where you just dispensed some solution and turned on the brushes until you got results. That's a pretty cool idea, too bad the build quality was poor.
