Hi everybody I recently salvaged a Hoover Starlight (U2002) from a skip but need some parts to complete this beauty. The parts I need are the beater bar SHAFT ROD, lower CABLE HOOK, with necessary fittings and TERMINAL COVER (including screws)inside the bag compartment.

If nobody can help, perhaps a push in the right direction would be fantastic on where I could obtain these parts.

Many thanks for any information offered it will be much appreciated.

Crikey,

Finding that lot would be extremely lucky.

Just greatful that our Starlight came completely intact and mint with the lower cord hook undamaged.

Am on the look out for another member to locate a lower cord hook so if I find 2 il let you know.

Cheers

Rob

Will keep our eyes peeled on our travels and on ebay.
If we find one, we will let you know.
Good luck in the meantime though.

Happy hunting and fingers crossed.
Paul

p.s is it the red one you have managed to salvage, or the dark blue coloured one?
I think the other is dark blue!??

Paul

Thanks turbopowerpaul, the starlight I have managed to rescue is the red one, a little discoloured. The hoover works well but just needs the parts to make it safe to use.

Many thanks

US DAM or different?

Hi Rigidvac.

The DAM is a clean air machine known as the CONVERTIBLE in Europe, whereas the Starlight is a dirty air design, exclusive to Europe.

Still a lightyears ahead looking machine for its 1975 introduction.
