hoover senior fan

i was using my old hoover senior and the fan seems not to be turning in time with the motor axel it seems to have slipped off and is turning freely without the axel i need help do you know how to fix this?

I would guess the motor bearings are seized.

Which Senior?

An American Senior could be one the oldest Hoovers.A British senior could be from the 70s.Model or pictures could help.

Are you able to hold the motor armature still and rotate the fan?

i think it is an american senior but it is from the 1960s or 70s i will have a look at the serial number later and tell you the number x

If the fan is plastic, it's probably broken or stripped around the shaft. If it's metal, it's entirely possible that it's just loose and needs to be tightened. I'm not familiar with these vacs in particular, and how the fan is secured to the shaft, so...
