The interesting thing about this cleaner is that it appears to come with US rather than UK tools - these were only supplied (as far as I know) with the U4003 model that was imported here in the mid 1970s. I wonder if this is a re-build though, I always thought the blue models were 6525C or 6525E rather than 652A.

our American tools! Tufflex was wonderful. After that, it all went downhill.....

You know John I always thought it was rather disappointing compared to the Hooverflex hoses that we had here, every UK made Hoover had a Hooverflex hose from around 1956 until the early 1990s

INDEED, INDEED!!!!!
WE started out with woven hose, progressed to "veriflex", then, "ultraflex (very VERY similar. THat took us to tufflex, then pool filter hose (That's what I call it) THAT, we think, was the beginning of the real cheapening down of it all. Some new hoses are ok, others are awful.
Last year, in Ohio, I got a few New old Stock "British" attachments...yay!!
I'd love to get a "flip" floor brush/nozzle that you guys have....looks like an Electrolux, kinda. We NEVER had them "over here".
Tufflex lasts a long time, like Ultraflex did. They always put ultraflex on the "Connies", and were used ALMOST to the end of "Pixie".
